Johnnie Walker Princess Street
Headline Sponsor
Johnnie Walker Princes Street is the centrepiece of Diageo’s £185 investment in whisky tourism, the eight-floor visitor experience for the world's best-selling Scotch whisky, opened a year ago in the heart of Scotland's capital city.
Set over 71,500 sq ft, it takes the concept of personalisation to a scale never before seen in a global drinks’ visitor experience. Visitors on the Johnnie Walker Journey of Flavour tour will have their personal flavour preferences mapped with drinks tailored to their palate.
With more than 800 flavour combinations available in the innovative dispensation systems, one person could visit Johnnie Walker Princes Street every day for more than two years and not have the same experience twice. Over 150 diverse and talented new employees, speaking 26 languages between them, will bring to life the 200-year story.
Johnnie Walker Princes Street is crowned by two world-class rooftop bars and terrace with breath-taking views of the Edinburgh skyline, the Explorers' Bothy whisky bar is stocked with 150 different whiskies, and the 1820 cocktail bar where drinks are paired with a carefully curated menu.

The City of Edinburgh Council
Food and Drink reception Sponsor
Lord Provost Robert Aldridge said: “Edinburgh has long acted as Scotland’s economic powerhouse, benefitting from strong trade relationships at home and abroad.
“Fuelled in part by our world-famous festivals and food and drink exports and of course our esteemed academic, legal, medical and financial institutions – our position on the world stage continues to flourish thanks to the skills and entrepreneurial spirit of our people. From small, independent businesses across retail and hospitality to ever growing creative, technology and hospitality industries, Edinburgh remains a top choice destination for start-ups, investment and trade as we work towards creating a more sustainable economy.
“Scottish exports to Ireland have continuously been strong and Irish-owned companies have long had strong exports records to Scotland. There is obvious potential for further export growth in both directions. Causeway was launched here at Edinburgh Castle back in 2016, pointing to the presence here of a significant business community dedicated to developing economic links between us, and this awards night will be an opportunity for businesses around the UK to connect and collaborate, making the most of the markets and trade opportunities available to them. It is a chance to celebrate everything businesses have achieved and continue to achieve, despite the economically challenging times they have faced. On behalf of the City I’d like to welcome every delegate to our cosmopolitan Capital City and congratulate everyone who receives an award.”
