To recognise the growth of our Young Professional membership, Causeway has established a Young Professionals' Committee.
The role of our Young Professionals’ Committee is primarily to:
- Actively support the objectives and goals of Causeway.
- Act as champions for Causeway, helping to raise its profile and grow our Young Professional memberships across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
- Participate in Causeway events and activities and to identify and host events of particular interest to our Young Professional members and wider membership on relevant topics and themes. To date, our Young Professionals' Committee have hosted topical networking events giving spotlight to entrepreneurs; motivational career development sessions; and events with businesses sharing insights in tackling the climate crisis.
- Promote our Professional Partners’ Programme, helping to build connections and collaborations between new Young Professional members and more experienced business leaders in our business network.
- Represent the views and priorities of our Young Professional Members and to attend and participate in discussions at our Causeway Management Board meetings.

Megan Harkins
Megan Harkins is an Account Executive at Edinburgh marketing agency,
WhiteSpace. She was previously Causeway's Business Development Management Manager and is one of the founders of Causeway's Young Professionals network. She has also worked as Head of Research and Development for a mental health start-up,
OK Positive. She graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2020, achieving a joint honours degree in Psychology and Politics from the University of Glasgow. Megan is half-Irish and half-Scottish and grew up in Edinburgh.
Finn O’Neill
Finn O’Neill is currently a solicitor with
CMS law firm. He studied law at the University of Aberdeen, achieving a First Class Honours LLB (Law Degree programme), coming out top of the class, and later he undertook his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh. He is Scottish, with Irish heritage though his grandparents and his mother, and has relatives still in Ireland and frequently visits Donegal.

Claire O'Sullivan
Claire O'Sullivan is Marketing Manager at Business Fives. Claire graduated from Heriot-Watt in 2020 with a First Class Honours Degree in International Business and Spanish. Her course allowed her to study in Bilbao for her third year. Claire is Scottish and grew up in Falkirk, with many trips to Ireland visiting family.
Saoirse Stankard
Saoirse Stankard is a solicitor and notary public in dispute resolution at
Davidson Chalmers Stewart specialising in healthcare, public and regulatory matters.She regularly represents individuals, trade union members and organisations. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2017 with an Honours LLB and a postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2018. As a member of the Code First: Girls community, she has interests in STEM, innovation and entrepreneurship. Saoirse has been a speaker on behalf of the social enterprise and regularly attends events with partners in Scotland, London and virtually. Saoirse is originally from Galway and is currently based in Edinburgh.
