Irish, Northern Irish and Scottish businesses to reconnect and gather in Edinburgh for return of Causeway Awards Celebration 2022!
Causeway: Ireland Scotland Business Exchange is pleased to announce the return of its Gala Black Tie Celebration of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland Awards Night, which will gather business leaders and government dignitaries at the Assembly Rooms Edinburgh on Thursday 6 October 2022 to celebrate business successes and the strong trading relationship between Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The Causeway Awards are hosted by not-for-profit membership organisation, Causeway: Ireland Scotland Business Exchange, which is supported by both the Irish and Scottish governments, and has a core remit of connecting professionals and businesses from both sides of the Irish Sea to enhance trade and grow collaborative opportunities to encourage business growth across Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The Awards, now in their sixth year, are designed to identify and acknowledge companies and individuals operating on either side of the Irish Sea who collaborate, cultivate, and drive business opportunities to Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, with call for nominations now invited in a number of categories, from exporting and innovation, to showcasing sustainable businesses and celebrating rising star young professionals and entrepreneurs.
Commenting on this year’s Causeway Awards, Causeway Co-Chair, and also MD of Represent Comms, Judith O’Leary said:
“Despite the challenges of the pandemic over the last couple of years, our Causeway membership network continues to grow, with an increasing number of businesses and professionals from cities and remote regions of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland connecting and collaborating via our network, all with a shared goal of building positive relationships to ultimately grow business opportunities.
“Last year, our Causeway Awards received more entries than ever before and the Awards Celebration evening was our largest yet, with over 250 business leaders and government representatives gathered in attendance, from a variety of sectors, from across Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. If your business is interested in being showcased and celebrated to this high-profile audience, I encourage you to consider putting in an entry now for the Causeway Awards and booking a table to attend this prestigious networking celebration.”
At last year’s Causeway Awards, a keynote guest speech was given by Scottish Government’s Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise, Ivan McKee who commented:
“Ireland is Scotland’s closest trading partner, and we’ve got some longstanding economic, political and social ties. The relationship is strong, but working together, there’s a lot more we can do to strengthen trade and investment ties in both directions.
“Causeway is hugely important – it plays a pivotal crucial role in making those connections, between Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland – to join up businesses for networking, hosting events like the Awards, and making sure we have opportunities to connect and do business together.”
