The Irish Business Network Scotland together with Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions are hosting two events in Edinburgh on Thursday April 6th.

These are:
• An afternoon seminar on "Ports, Harbours and Marine Engineering" at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, George Street.

• An "Evening Celebration" at The Refinery, St. Andrew Square, marking the 1st anniversary of our Edinburgh office.

Paul is the Managing Director of geotechnical engineering consultancy, GDG, where he is actively involved in a range of foundation design projects for onshore and offshore applications. These projects include foundation analysis, pile design, retaining wall design, deep excavations, and slope stability assessments.

Thomas joined Arch Henderson in 2003 after graduating university and has been responsible for managing many large-scale Civil, Structural and Marine Projects including major Harbour and Quay refurbishments and a wide variety of other large-scale commercial and industrial projects. Thomas is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and a Partner in the firm.

Manus Quigg

Manus is dual qualified in England and Scotland and specialises in construction law. He works on both sides of the border and has particular experience in advising clients on and resolving construction disputes whether by utilising the formal processes of litigation, arbitration or adjudication, or through the increasingly popular alternative dispute resolution methods. He advises a range of developers, contractors, construction professionals and their insurers on construction issues and believes in adopting a commercial approach to find the most cost-effective resolution to problems geared to suit each individual client's requirements. Manus is a member of the Society of Construction Law, the Adjudication Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
