Our Young Professionals’ Committee invite you to join Causeway for an interactive online networking event aimed at showcasing Irish, Northern Irish and Scottish businesses who are helping to drive the battle against climate emergency through innovation. This event gives you the chance to broaden your professional connections and provides a unique networking opportunity.

This event will be hosted by Causeway’s Young Professional members, Ailis Watt, Peat Policy Officer at The Wildlife Trusts and Finn O’Neill, Associate at CMS, with a spotlight panel discussion with keynote guest speakers, Christian Arno, Founder and CEO of Pawprint and Stephanie McEvoy, Digital Manager of Farming Carbon.
As well as the spotlight panel discussion, this event will also have topical breakout networking sessions for attendees, to allow you to connect and chat with professionals from both sides of the Irish Sea, with opportunity to showcase and share your insights and join a discussion on how businesses can tackle the climate crisis.

Pawprint
Pawprint harnesses the energy employees already have to play their part in the fight against climate change, and channels it towards their organisation’s climate targets. Their tool provides a fun, powerful platform enabling individuals to measure, understand and reduce their carbon footprint through sustained behavioural change. The technology combines behavioural science and gamification techniques with an expertly validated carbon calculator and tracker, providing users with the necessary insights and motivation to get on board the journey to a more sustainable future. Pawprint are determined to build engaged communities across the world and inspire collective action that will result in a truly significant contribution towards turning the tide on climate change.
Farming Carbon
Farming Carbon are researching a practical solution for climate change - to make a lasting impact on the world we live in by protecting biodiversity, carbon removal and better farming practises.
Their social enterprise hopes to research and validate the effectiveness of sustainable farming. They use a social media presence to educate and entertain everyday people and highlight how they can value to the farming community. They hope to eventually help farmers change how they approach the land and financially support their decision to change to sustainable practices.
Early Career Professionals Team at Mott MacDonald
Tom and Emma are members of Mott MacDonald’s Scotland Early Career Professionals (ECPs) team, established in early 2021. The Scotland ECPs are a multidisciplinary, cross sector team of like-minded young professionals working for clients across Scotland, all driven to support Scotland achieve its net zero targets. During 2021, the Scotland ECPs developed and implemented an innovative workshop approach to bring colleagues and ideas from across the business together, and to recognise the challenges and opportunities for reducing carbon emissions and for developing a climate resilient Scotland. Workshop learnings have informed infrastructure policy in Scotland with the systems thinking approach attracting the attention of potential partners. During COP26, the Scotland ECP’s hosted an event to share their approach and learnings with external ECPs to encourage collaboration.
