John McClarey is the founder of Business Fives, a corporate sports event management company in Scotland.  An experienced event management professional originally from Limavady, Co Derry, John moved to Edinburgh to study, achieving a Master in Economics before forging a successful career in media sales covering various industry sectors.  John has worked for large membership organisations running annual conferences and exhibitions in the major venues.

Setting up his own corporate sports event management company in 2016 Business Fives, Scotland’s national business five-a-side tournament and Business Fours, Scotland’s national business golf tournament. John has worked with over 350 companies throughout Scotland such as RBS, KPMG, BT and Sky raising over £40,000 for charities in the process.   Working with clients across a range of industries like Professional Services, Construction, Housing & Property, Technology & IT, Food drink & Hospitality, Energy & Utilities and Financial Services. Business Fives is committed to creating a positive atmosphere where professionals can meet likeminded new connections and strengthen relationships within teams whilst supporting the work of charities and encouraging corporate social responsibility.

John’s has an extensive business development and event management background and welcomes the opportunity to bring his skill set to the Causeway committee.
