Colm Moloney

Chairperson & Director

Colm has been involved in business development in the UK and Ireland for 25 years with most of that time working between Cork and Edinburgh. Colm has been the Chair of Causeway since its formation in 2016. He is a graduate of University College Cork and The University of Leicester and has been a company director in the UK and Ireland since 1997.

Colm is the Managing Director of Rubicon Heritage Services Ltd, a commercial archaeology company employing over 100 archaeologists through its offices in Edinburgh, Cork, Dublin and Cardiff. Colm is a board member with the Federation of Archaeological Managers and Employers and is the author of numerous academic and popular publications on archaeology in the UK and Ireland. Colm is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, Member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and has served on a ministerial advisory work group as part of a Review of Archaeological Policy and Practice in Ireland.

Colm directed the archaeological excavations on the site of the New Scottish Parliament, the largest urban archaeological excavation ever undertaken in Scotland.
